This first-floor west-facing room is dedicated to all the Southern Belles of the world. Be they Scarlett O’Hara, Lillian Hellman, Blanche DuBois or our American founder Emerson Dewey Skeens own mother.
Being a Belle is a state of mind. The long shady veranda with its row of stained glass windows, dominates the room with a beautiful, soft light.
Draped in peach and soft orange colors, the room hosts a queen size, antique Zanzibar bed and salon. The open bathroom with its large, carved mirror, reflects the light and décor from all angles. A truly romantic space.

The best time to visit Stone Town is during the dry seasons, when the weather is warm, clear and perfect for walking through the old city.
Most travellers prefer the period from June to October because the temperatures are comfortable, the humidity is lower and the streets are ideal for exploring markets, museums and historic sites.
Another very good time to visit is from December to February. These months offer bright sunshine and lively energy around the seafront, making it enjoyable for sightseeing, rooftop dining and cultural tours.
